Understanding why some do, and some don't.

My research focuses on public health communication, health literacy, and emerging media technologies. My scholarship is grounded in strengthening participatory communication and action that not only helps to shape the research and policy agenda, but also facilitates the translation of research into practice, ultimately strengthening and sustaining the public’s health.

Currently I am exploring how to better use non-traditional public health data sources, such as online search behaviors and social media posts, to inform and strengthen public health research and practice.
