Outside of teaching and researching sociology, I also enjoy spending time with friends, running, traveling, reading, cooking, and writing & performing comedy.
I have an adventurous spirit, yet I am an introvert. In fact, I am what Myers-Briggs would call an ISTP (Introverted, Sensing, Thinking, Perceiving). I love a good challenge, pay attention to detail, am a loyal friend and family member, and I have a great desire to learn and grow.
I share my life with my husband Perry, my dogs Maple, Dexter, and Piper, my kitties Maggie and Bruce, many wonderful friends and family, and my students. Nothing is more fulfilling to me than the work I do with my students and the time I spend with quality people in my life.
