Droitwich Ukulele Club was formed towards the end of 2015 as an offshoot
of Worcester Ukulele club with the purpose of establishing if there would be sufficient interest in
the town to warrant provision of regular club nights.

Having attracted a minimum of 15 people to each of the three sessions run at the end of the year a meeting was convened on 5 January 2016 to establish the club on a more formal basis.  Minutes from that meeting can be downloaded from the News & Information page.

The aim of the club is to encourage the playing of the Ukulele in a variety of genres for the enjoyment
of members of all abilities from absolute beginners to seasoned pros and to provide a vehicle for the
improvement of all members musical abilities.

Though it is envisaged that the main emphasis will be on the club nights it is anticipated that once
established members of the club will join together to play gigs at local events.
