I did PhD from Panjab University Chandigarh, India, in Physical-Inorganic Chemistry. After PhD, I visited various universities of the world fame on different post-doctoral assignments. My first post-doc assignment was in the Dept of Chemistry, University of Palermo, Italy, from 1992-94. Then, I joined Dept of Materials Science and Ecological Biology, Toyohashi university of Technology, Japan, in 1995. I was on a prestigious JSPS post-doctoral fellowship from 1998-2000 in the Dept of Chemistry, Osaka City University, Japan. Meanwhile, I joined the Dept of Chemistry, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, India, from 1996 to 2008 on a permanent faculty position. From 2005-2007, I visited the Dept of Chemistry and Biochemistry, Western University, on a Visiting Scientist assignment. After this, I taught in the Dept of Chemistry, Acadia University (2008-09), Mount Saint Vincent University, Halifax (2009-10), Wilfrid Laurier University (2010-15), and presently, I am lecturer in the Dept of Natural and Applied Sciences, University of Wisconsin - Green bay.
I have published more than 150 research publications in various journals of international repute in the fields of surfactants, polymers, and materials. Now I am working in the field of Nanotechnology with focus on Bio-nanomaterials and their Biomedical applications.
