Curriculum Vitae


Mr. Macy is an Evergreen native who teaches English at Evergreen High School.  Macy ran on the varsity track and cross country teams at the University of Colorado at Boulder before graduating as a member of Phi Beta Kappa.  He later earned a Masters in Education Curriculum and Instruction from California Coast University.  Macy has published numerous articles on teaching in the 21st century, presents regularly at conferences, and received the International Reading Association’s Award for Technology and Reading in 2009.  Travis competes professionally in adventure races around the world; stories are at www.followtravismacy.blogspot.com.  A lifelong learner, Macy is passionate about helping students make the most of their education.  A few examples of professional work and his resume can be downloaded below.  Macy enjoys spending time with his wife Amy, Director of College Counseling at Denver Academy and founder of The College Coach, LLC (www.mycollegecoach.org), and son, Wyatt, born in January 2011.
