Dr. Alton Ingram is a reconstructive and plastic surgeon whose practice covers the whole gamut of reconstructive and cosmetic surgery, with the exception of craniofacial surgery. At present, he is based in Nashville, Tennessee. He was raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He graduated from Yale University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics and Philosophy, with a GPA of 3.94. Dr. Ingram was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and a National Merit and William Hearst Foundation Scholar.

After his years in college, he moved to Dallas, Texas, and attended the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, obtaining his degree in medicine and completing his residencies in general and plastic surgery. Alton Ingram, MD, took postgraduate fellowships at Centro de Estuidas Ivo Pitanguy, Rio de Janeiro; the University of Paris, France; Baptist Hospital, Nashville; Mount Sinai Medical Center, Miami Beach, Florida, and Clinica Alemana in Santiago, Chile.

Dr. Alton Ingram obtained his MBA from Tulane University, where he was a Morton A. Aldrich Scholar and a member of the Gamma Beta Sigma honor society. Publishing articles on peer-reviewed journals on human anatomy, medical devices, surgical techniques, finance, and law, Dr. Ingram is a holder of an MBA from Tulane University and a JD from University of California Berkeley.
