PEI Website Grants

The Web Presence Program provides a non-repayable contribution to Prince Edward Island businesses to assist them in establishing a presence on the internet. Prince Edward Island is becoming one of the leading provinces for web presence in Canada. The purpose of this program is to help Island companies increase business by adopting technology. The contribution under this program is limited to 40% of the cost to a maximum contribution of $500.00 per small business. This program is sponsored by Prince Edward Island Business Development and Technology PEI.


Eligible applicants include Prince Edward Island businesses and industry associations who presently do not have a web presence and wish to undertake activities which will lead to an effective presence on the web. A completed application form

rm (see reverse) along with a written quote from a web provisioner outlining services to be provided should be submitted to the address below. Projects receiving other non-repayable contributions or grants from any source are not eligible.


The types of products and services which could be eligible to qualify under the Web Presence Program include, but are not limited to, the design, development and hosting cost of a web site including the registration of a unique URL domain name. Applicants should discuss their requirements with a Prince Edward Island Business Development representative to determine if their activity could be considered for assistance under the program.
