Tribute Bike Collage
I do not know the family personally, but had the honor of meeting them at a motorcycle show at the Outer Banks, NC in April, 2010. I thought it appropriate to put together this collage in honor of July 4th as well as in memory of LCPL Kyle William Brown. This is the wording from the informational poster that accompanies the bike as they take it from show to show: "This 2006 Harley Davidson Road King has been created in honor of our son Kyle, and all the fallen heroes that made the ultimate sacrifice while fighting the war against terrorism in Iraq. Kyle had just celebrated his 22nd birthday when he received orders to go on patrol to help find a sniper who had claimed the lives of two marine brothers earlier that morning. Jariad Jacobs, (19 years old) and Brett Lundstrom, (22 years old). Unfortunately, Kyle paid the ultimate sacrifice that same morning before the sniper was stopped. This was Kyle’s second deployment to Iraq and his 4th while enlisted with the marine Corp. The names in gold lettering on the fenders and fuel tank are of personal friends as well as other fallen heroes that have paid the ultimate sacrifice. Their faces along with other marines are ghosted onto the front fender of this Memorial Harley Davidson. Freedom Is Not Free!"

I just got back from the fastest drive from Anaheim ever. I don't even remember the drive home, all I remember is going 95 on the freeway. Heather, Doug and I went to the Mickey Avalon show at the Grove in Anaheim. Let me tell you, he rocked. It was a great show and I'm so happy I went. My class was canceled this morning so I hung out with H til Val got out of class. We got coffee and Doritos for breakfast. Some bitch cut me in line so I talked shit loudly and she felt stupid. I don't understand people sometimes. Val went to work and I cleaned the apartment so she'd come home to cleanliness, and then Doug and Heather came over and we set off to Anaheim. On the way we got some Sonic (yes!!!) and did somersaults in the grass in front of a bank. I haven't had a day this fun with my best friends in a long time. I really needed it. I'm so happy and content right now. Good friends, good food, good music, and coming home to my girl. My life is good. And now? Posting this bullshit photo so I can get in bed for the four hours of sleep I'm going to get. I have an exam in class tomorrow that I have not studied for.
