He Was Baptized by Immersion

Written and composed by Douglas Allan

I've often thought of days gone by,

when Jesus walked the earth.

When God sent down His eldest son,

 and of His sacred birth.

Of how He taught His Father's word,

and healed the sick and calmed the sea.

Of how He went to Jordan's banks

to show the way for you and me.

He was baptized by immersion

by the man they all called John.

The Holy Ghost descended on Him,

and they heard the voice of God.

He showed the way we must enter,

and what we all must do.

He was baptized by immersion,

and we all must be baptized too.

Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ,

has shown the way to take.

By being baptized on the earth,

we open up the gate.

The gate to our Celestial home,

our home eternal ever more.

The Holy Ghost can help us see

what Heavenly Father holds in store.

He was baptized by immersion

by the man they all called John.

The Holy Ghost descended on Him,

and they heard the voice of God.

He showed the way we must enter,

and what we all must do.

He was baptized by immersion,

and we all must be baptized too.

He Bowed His Head

Written and composed by Douglas Allan

He bowed His head as

He knelt in the garden.

He bowed His head as

He prayed for you and me.

And as He wept on His knees in the garden,

our sins, though crimson red,

as white as snow could be.

And then He bled from every pore,

He suffered this and more.

And said "Dear Father, take from me this cup."

His earthly mission soon would end,

alone, without a friend

He bowed His head.

"Thy will, not mine, be done."

He showed His love

for you and me in the garden.

He gave His life

for you and me on the hill.

And as the soldiers laughed and scoffed

at their Savior,

He said, "Oh, Father, please forgive them."

All was still.

And then He bled from every pore,

He suffered this and more.

And said "Dear Father, take from me this cup."

His earthly mission soon would end,

alone, without a friend

He bowed His head.

"Thy will, not mine, be done."

Harmony

Written and composed by Douglas Allan

Harmony, every day we sing in harmony.

As we travel down life's road we will see

God's majesty in every flower

and tree along the way.

We'll strive for unity,

pressing forward to eternity.

Thanking God each day for eyes that can see

and voices so that we can sing

in harmony from day to day

The choices we make along

the paths that we take

will lead us forward or turn us around.

And if to God we are true

in everything that we do,

the still small voice will be our compass through life's ups and downs.

And we'll have harmony,

every day we sing in harmony.

As we travel down life's road we will see

God's majesty in every flower

and tree along the way.

We'll strive for unity,

pressing forward to eternity.

Thanking God each day for eyes that can see

and voices so that we can sing

in harmony from day to day

While we press down the road,

if we each carry our load,

we'll find that God will be with us on our way.

And if we give of our time

to those around us, we'll find

that Heavenly Father's love

will shine on us each day.

And we'll have harmony,

every day we sing in harmony.

As we travel down life's road we will see

God's majesty in every flower

and tree along the way.

We'll strive for unity,

pressing forward to eternity.

Thanking God each day for eyes that can see

and voices so that we can sing

in harmony from day to day

Harmony, Harmony, Harmony.
