Squash-Apple Bake
Simple and delicious squash recipe that's great for a chilly fall day, from Douds-Floyd Farm


2 pounds winter squash

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup butter

1tablespoon flour

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon cinnamon

2 apples, cored and sliced*


Heat oven to 350 degrees.  Peel (if you wish) and slice squash.  Arrange in baking dish and top with apple slices.  Stir together remaining ingredients and sprinkle over top.  Cover with foil.  Bake 50-60 minutes or until squash is tender.

*Substitute 2 pears or cranberries, nuts, or raisins.
