  • all children without exception have the right to protection from abuse regardless of gender, ethnicity, disability, sexuality or beliefs;
  • a commitment to safe recruitment, selection and vetting;
  • children and parents are informed of the policy and procedures as appropriate;
  • all concerns, and allegations of abuse will be taken seriously by trustees, staff and volunteers and responded to appropriately - this may require a referral to children's services and in emergencies, the Police;

  • We have procedures in place to prevent ‘one to one’ situations (i.e. one unsupervised adult with one unaccompanied child).

    We have ‘signing-in/signing-out’ procedures in place to ensure you are always aware of who are in the class.
    Children up to and including the age of 8 are only collected by their custodial parents or persons authorised by such parents.
    Our teacher to children ratio is 1:8.
    All students need to be registered even for those who attend trial session.
    We ensure that all staff and volunteers working with or who might come into contact with children
     (including children engaged as volunteers) undergo CRB) checks
    and that, where allowed, such checks are at an ‘Enhanced’ level
