Constitution, objectives and Privacy Policy

Objectives extracted from the constitution:-

    • to encourage, promote, and develop Athletics within the County, according to UKA Rules;
    • to organise annual County Championships,both individual and team, in a range of Athletics disciplines, e.g. Track and Field, Cross-Country, Sports Hall, and liaise with the Road-Race League, etc.
    • to liaise with and assist Local Authorities in the promotion of Athletics including in schools and other educational establishments in Dorset;
    • to encourage and assist interested people to train,qualify,and gain experience as honorary officials in all capacities, e.g. Track Judge, Field Judge, Starter.
    • to encourage and guide interested people to gain experience by assisting qualified coaches in all disciplines / event groups and then become qualified themselves under the aegis of EA coaching schemes;
    • to select and manage teams to participate in relevant inter-county and other competitions;
    • to encourage and assist in the formation of new clubs to cover various Athletics disciplines;
    • to encourage and assist in the provision and/or improvement of Athletics facilities in Dorset;
    • to establish links to other organisations such as may be of mutual benefit to DCAA and them.
    • to encourage all members to pursue inclusive, non-discriminatory policies.
