During the 2016-2017 season the orchestra will be conducted by Paul Newbold. 
Check the concert venue - some are in St. Martin's and some are in St. Paul's (both in Dorking)
There is parking in the M&S car park behind St. Martin's, and on street parking in the area around St. Paul's church.

Mendelssohn's Italian Symphony
Are you looking to try out a new orchestra or interested in joining one after a break? We are a friendly local orchestra looking for new players of all abilities, especially lower strings and brass, and would love to hear from you. Even if you aren't looking to join and would just like to come and play through an amazing piece of music with us, you are very welcome! Come and join us for a fun evening and experience the joy of music making.

Friends' Concert
Wednesday 28th March 2018, 8:00 pm,  St. Martin's Church, Church Hall, Dorking

An informal evening to say thank you to the Friends of Dorking Philharmonia who do so much to support the orchestra, both financially and artistically. 
During the evening, members of the orchestra perform various pieces and this is followed by a buffet meal, drinks and socialising.
If you are interested in becoming a Friend, please contact us for information.

Mozart Symphony No. 40 in G minor K550 
Everyone is welcome, and there is a break with tea and snacks in the middle to meet people. 
It's a great event to attend if you
 are interested in playing this fantastic work, getting to know it before coming to our next concert, or if you are thinking of joining. 
There are currently a number of vacancies, especially in the string section.

All concerts take place in St. Paul's Church or St. Martin's Church, Dorking and start at 7.30pm.

Unless otherwise stated these are priced £12 (£10 concessions, £7 under 19s).
