PTA Needs Your Help

Your Small School PTA is in need of volunteers for the Mill Creek Tree Lighting Ceremony.  The Tree Lighting is coordinated by the city's Chamber of Commerce and Parks and Rec department, with generous help from our Police and Fire departments. It is well-loved by many South Portland residents, and seems to embody the small town New England magic that can happen here at winter time, but we need volunteers to keep it running!

Your Small School PTA wants to see that this event is around for all of our community's children (and adults!) to enjoy for years to come.  We have the resources to provide food, beverages, and engaging entertainment - all while raising funds for the great programs this school coordinates for its students.
What we need from you is your time!
Please consider signing up for a shift at, and if you cannot volunteer, please come out to the Tree Lighting Ceremony on December 6th, from 4:30-7:00, and show your city that you support this great event."

Remember that WINTERFEST is happening at Small School on Saturday, December 14 (10am - 1pm). It is going to be fun family event, with crafts for sale, activities for kids, face painting, and bake sale (coffee too!). Ways to get involved:
1) Renting a CRAFT TABLE if you are crafty, or helping your child(ren) to do so! The kids love to sell their crafts and it's so fun to see what they come up with! (These are filling up so act sooner than later!)
2) Donating to the BAKE SALE --- this is going to be a big event so we needs lots of donations!
3) VOLUNTEERING at the event -- face painting, staffing an activity, helping to sell at the Bake Sale, or with setup/cleanup.
Most of all, make sure to ATTEND the event, enjoy, and support Small School!
