This page contains a pdf file of the Keynote/PowerPoint presentation, "Getting Professionally Published." Walling has presented this topic in lectures, workshops, and conference sessions at a variety of conventions and professional gatherings, including gatherings on campuses of higher education, among them Teachers College Columbia University, Harvard University, New York University, Pace University, Emporia State University, Baker University, and others.

Also included is a pdf of "Four Pillars of Learning" (Learning2.pdf), written in late 2011, which has been a useful foundational document for community conversations about the importance of public education.

The most recent addition to this page is a pdf of "Strange Bedfellows: The Military and Gay Civil Rights," which examines parallels between the African American civil rights movement, particularly the overturning of anti-miscegenation laws, and the gay civil rights movement in light of the Supreme Court decision about the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) in June 2013. As the movement toward universal marriage equality gains momentum, this document provides historical context.
