Christmas Tree Tutorial

 

I Wrote This Tutorial On Dec. 1st, 2008.
Any other tutorial online is purely coincidental.
"You Will Need"
Psp, any version will do.
You will also need a scrap kit by Lisa, called BlogTrain Freebie.
You can find the kit here.

Tube of choice, Font of choice.
I am using the stunning work of Keith Garvey. You may find his tubes here.
Please Do Not use the same tube without the proper license.
 
"My Supplies"
 
"Ready, Let's Do It"
 
Open a new 550x550 blank canvas, floodfill with white.On you layer pallette,
set your foreground and background to patterns of choice from the scrap kit. with your
eclipse tool, width=6, hold down your shift key to draw out a perfect circle.,
objects, align, center in canvas. convert to a raster layer.
add a drop shadow, sharpen.
 
Open up the three frames from the kit, position them one on top of the other.
Merge these 3 frames together. see my tag as reference.
With your magic wand tool, add shift, Tolerance 10, Feather=0, click inside the frames,
sel modify, expand by 6, copy and paste a paper of choice. sel none.
Move the paper layer under the frame. image, free rotate 15 to the right.
Add a drop shadow and sharpen.
Back on the frame layer, sel all, float, defloat, add your tube, sel invert, hit delete. sel none.
Add a drop shadow to your tube.
 
Back on the circle layer, sel all, float, defloat, copy and paste your tube, sel invert,
Hit delete, sel none. Add a drop shadow to the tube.
New raster layer, find a christmas tree tube of choice, size is your choice, position
The christmas tree down to the left on your canvas. Add a drop shadow, sharpen if needed.
 
Add any embellishments you want from the kit, see my tag as a reference, or place them
Where you want them. add drop shadows and sharpen. I added a flower behind the frame, and
then i added 2 flowers and positioned them behind the circle on the top.
But this is your choice. You can add a mask, doodles, or whatever you want.
Add your name, and your watermark. Add artist copyright info.
