I’m an applied microeconomist whose research explores how individual preferences and institutional contexts shape education and health outcomes.
I hold a Dr. oec. publ. in Management and Economics from the University of Zurich (2010) and a Diplom (M.Sc.) in Economics from the University of Tübingen (2005). After a postdoctoral appointment at Seoul National University, I joined Yonsei University in 2012 and have been with its EastAsia International College since 2014. Alongside my academic work, I’ve been an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) since 2025, which informs my recent research on maternal and child health.
My research increasingly integrates behavioral and health-economic approaches to questions of family policy and maternal and child health, with a particular focus on the determinants and outcomes of infant feeding. In addition, I conduct evaluations of policies and teaching methods in technical and vocational education and training (TVET) as well as higher education.
