Experience:

Classroom Teacher at both elementary and secondary levels.  Experience as elementary principal and assistant principal, special education administrator, assistant superintendent of schools and superintendent of schools in several Maine school districts.  Served as Dean of Education at Notre Dame College (NH), and chair, Department of Education, University of New England. School Improvement Consultant, Maine Department of Education.

Research interests:  Literacy and language acquisition; adult learning.

Member of:  Assessment Advisory Board (GACE), Georgia Professional Standards Commission.

Personal:

Married to Nancy Lee Gnecco, a therapist in private practice.  We have three adult children and four grandchildren.  Personal interests include woodworking, stained glass crafting, and songwriting.
