I work in political philosophy and applied ethics and I have a background in economics. My focus lies on economic growth, climate justice, animal ethics and AI risks. I am a senior researcher and lecturer at the University of Fribourg in Switzerland.
As a liberal political philosopher and a Christian, I'm not the most natural audience for the effective altruism movement. However, I found its insights sometimes surprising, often insightful and almost always relevant for passing on my life's beautiful privileges to others. This led me to co-author All the Lives You Can Save and to serve on the Board of Christians for Impact.
