What Students Should Know!

Your professor has assigned you a research project. Start here! Start now!
There are three processes in every research assignment:
  1. Girl's profile showing how project, topic, and research are interconnectedSelect a topic
  2. Do research.
  3. Create the final product(s).
All three parts are interdepedent and like meshed gears in a machine, each part acts on the other and changes or shapes the other:
  • Your topic choice will affect how and where you search.
  • What you find will change your topic.
  • As you research, you will begin creating parts of your final product.
  • As you begin assembling your product, you may have to adapt your topic or you may have to do more research.
The gears go round and round and round!
Together they will help produce a high quality final product!
