Hi, I am Dibyendu Mukherjee.

I am a researcher at Epson Canada, working in computer vision.

Before joining Epson, I worked as a postdoctoral associate in the department of Biomedical Engineering at the Duke University, USA. I was working under the supervision of Dr. Sina Farsiu, as a part of the Vision and Image Processing (VIP) laboratory

I have recently completed my doctoral studies from the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Windsor, Canada, under the supervision of Dr. Q. M. Jonathan Wu and as a part of the Computer Vision and Sensing Systems (CVSS) laboratory. My PhD dissertation titled "Enhancing the Potential of the Conventional Gaussian Mixture Model for Segmentation: from Images to Videos" targets segmentation in images, foreground and videos using probabilistic modeling, with Gaussian Mixture Modeling as the primary scope.

I had also completed my masters from the same department as my PhD. My masters thesis was based on Disparity Estimation.
