I focus on the effect of climate and other environmental factors on trees and forest ecosystems by using dendrochronology and tree growth modelling. Currently I am working on past environmental and ecological changes in forests in Europe, the Mediterranean, and Eastern North America.
January 2015. Our paper demonstrating the prevalent drought limitation of forest growth in the Eastern US is out [here] [PDF].
December 2014. Changes in vegetation in the eastern US have also been driven by changes in climate since the European settlement, paper lead by Neil Pederson [here].
Our paper on the dating of the ship uncovered in 2010 the World Trade Center in Lower Manhattan, New York City [here]was featured in different media outlets. Daily Mail, National Geographic, History Channel, Washington Post, NBC, LiveScience, Fox News, Toronto Sun, The Telegraph, CNN, WNYC, or The New Yorker
