Macromondays Theme: Scientific After some deliberation I decided that a new camera is not really what I need or want. I really need to understand the camera I already have. So in a step toward the scientific approach I purchased some control data. A gray card set for fundamental white balance anywhere I go. The color checker card I expect to use mostly when photographing or scanning old documents. The lighting is supported by a 110cm (43 inch) reflector disc. Now I have more control over the camera and the camera can tell me more about the light. Great! So, now what? That's a rhetorical question of course. It's easy to do some white balance and make a couple of post-processing adjustment. But somehow I feel I'm just scratching the surface.
