You gotta be f***in' kidding me.
You gotta be f***in' kidding me.
OK, venting time: It's official. No team in the history of college football - ever - has been more often overranked and has received more unearned boosts in the polls more than the University of Michigan. You tell me: - How does Michigan, who lost at home to Division I-AA Appalachian State, and then by 32 points at home to unranked Oregon, end up #12 in the BCS? - How does Michigan, whose only win vs a ranked team was by 5 points against Penn State, end up #14 in the AP? - How does Michigan, who beat Eastern Michigan at home by a mere 11 points and beat Northwestern by only 12, end up #15 in the USA Today poll? - How is Michigan ranked ahead of USC (ranked #1 most of the season) who did lose at home to Stanford but whose only other loss was by 7 at #4 Oregon? - How is Michigan ranked 5 spots ahead of Wisconsin, whose 2 losses were on the road against ranked teams? - How is Michigan ranked 7 spots ahead of South Florida, whose only 2 losses were at ranked Rutgers and at ranked Connecticut? This is a joke. The media is so biased in favor of UM that it smells of payola. As of 4 weeks ago, UM didn't get a single vote in the top 25. Not one. Who have they beaten in the last 4 weeks to earn this big ranking? A 2-4 Eastern Michigan, Purdue, Illinois and 1-8 Minnesota. Get real. So, STFU, you whiny UM crybabies. I never, ever want to hear another word - ever - about how Michigan ever gets the short end of the stick. I'm serious. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Michigan head football coach Lloyd Carr looks from the sidelines during the first quarter of an NCAA football game against Minnesota in Ann Arbor, Mich., Saturday, Oct. 27, 2007.
