posted Mar 25, 2012, 8:14 PM by James Dittes

Set in California during the Great Depression, the story follows two ranch hands, Lenny and Shorty, as they dream of a brighter future and see their plans tested.  It's a great companion to The Grapes of Wrath and it's by the same author, John Steinbeck.
