A Message from Our Superintendent

September 7, 2017

Dear District 22 Families:

Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year! Not only have we been diligent in raising the levels of performance in Common Core ELA and Mathematics, but we have placed a strong emphasis in Science, Social Studies, Technology and the Arts. Our schools offer school wide enrichment to allow students to explore subjects and topics that they may show an interest in such as robotics, coding, architecture, etc.  In District 22, we are focused on raising the bar in subjects that will prepare our students for college and careers, especially in science, math and technology.

One of our goals this year is to promote wellness among our students and families. Wellness, both physical and emotional, will add to the achievement and success we want for all of our students.

Please be involved in our schools because we all know that family involvement is the key to our students’ success and well-being.

I encourage you to consistently attend our Community Education Council (CEC/CDEC) meetings and to participate in your school and district meetings. I am proud to share additional forms of communication that my office has available for you to become more involved including social media, our website and newsletter. Our newsletter is designed to inform and will continue to highlight some of our school and district events that we are most proud of including our successful District Science Expo, Performing and Visual Art Showcases and Family Fun Night.

I wish you and your family a healthy and successful year!
