A Message from Our Superintendent

Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year!

I am very proud to announce that District 22 schools have shown significant gains in ELA and Math State Exam Scores. In addition, schools have placed a strong emphasis on STEM (Science, technology, engineering and math) projects. Students are engaged in many hands-on research projects preparing them for college and beyond. I am also very proud of the Art programs around the district including fine arts, music, dance and theater. Students and families are encouraged to participate in cultural experiences such as visiting the Brooklyn Museum, local college performances, etc. In District 22, we aim to enrich the lives of our students academically and culturally, as well as emotionally and socially.

Parents, please initiate conversations with your child concerning his/her friends, work load, interests, etc. Children often have a lot to share especially when something may be troubling them. For additional support, feel free to contact your school’s administration, guidance counselors or parent coordinator.

I encourage you to participate in your child’s school’s Parent Association and attend the many school functions. Continue to check our Newsletters, social media, and website to be informed and aware of special events.

I wish you and your family a healthy and successful year!
