P.S. 245, Magnet School for Arts and Science, has partnered with the Liberty Science Center to enhance our 4th grade curriculum's unit on energy.

The students investigated potential and kinetic energy, as well as sound, electrical, thermal and wind energy. Students performed "hands on" activities to track energy flow in a series of transformations that produced both useful actions and losses. In culmination, the students created and presented a Rube Goldberg Project, using recyclable materials, that showed kinetic and potential energy transformation. We have had a wonderful experience with the Liberty Science Center and look forward to working with them again.
