Pennies for Patients and Stuck for a Buck at PS 217

For the second year in a row, PS 217 accepted the challenge to help find a cure for blood cancer! We joined over 27,000 schools across the nation to make a difference and raise as much money as possible. We added each dollar, quarter, dime, nickel and penny and we proudly made it all the way up to $3,800. The highlight of the campaign was the two-day event Stuck for a Buck! Our Principal Mr. Bonilla, Science Teacher Ms. Iside, First Grade Teacher Ms. Small and Fifth Grade Teacher Ms. Descarfino were amazing team players and accepted to be “stuck” for more than 1 hour to the Cafeteria wall to support this charitable cause! Each student had a chance to purchase strips of tape and work together as a school to tape the lucky staff members to the wall. Thank you all – families, students and staff of PS 217 for your philanthropy!
