Iced French Coffee

(makes 8 servings)
3 c. double strong coffee **see note
2 c. sugar
1 pt.half and half (2 cups)
1 quart milk (4 cups)
1 t. vanilla
Brew coffee and pour into large mixing bowl (helpful if you have one with a spout).  Add sugar and stir to dissolve.  Add in half and half, milk and vanilla. Evenly distribute into freezer bags (use 2 gallon size but don't fill full) or freezer container. Freeze for 2 hours at least. Serve slushy.  (Thaw 1/2 hour before serving).  Can substitute equal parts Splenda granules (not packets) for sugar and use skim milk and fat free half and half for a figure friendly version.
Use double the amount of coffee granules you'd normally use and make coffee like normal.  Measure out 3 cups of finished coffee.
