Fresh Cranberry Orange Relish

adapted from Bavarian Inn, Frankenmuth, Michigan

3 apples, large dice (Jonagold)
1 orange, seedless with rind, large dice
24 oz. fresh cranberries, frozen
1 1/2 cups of sugar

Place 1/3 of each fruit in food processor.  Pulse 3 times, no more!  Transfer this mixture to a large bowl.  Repeat with rest of fruit, 1/3 at a time.  Pour sugar over processed fruit.  Stir well.  Cover tightly and refrigerate overnight.  Yield is 3 pounds.  Serves 8 people.
