I've been an avid gamer since age 6 and working in the video games industry has always been a big dream of mine. It came true in September 2010, when I started a position as German Localization Editor at The Pokémon Company International in Bellevue, WA.

My tasks included editing of German localized text for current Pokémon projects; for example game text of current Nintendo DS titles Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version, localization editing and proofing of websites and, editing of the official Strategy Guide for Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version, and editing of rule books and cards for Pokémon Trading Card Game expansions Call of Legends and Black and White.

Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version are currently the fastest-selling game titles in history for the Nintendo DS family of systems. The games sold more than 2.7 million units in Japan within 4 days of the mid-September 2010 launch and 3 million copies in the first two weeks of sales following the early March 2011 launch of localized versions in the U.S. and Europe.
