We are located in the beautiful city of Pohang in South Korea, about two and half hours from Seoul. Apart from its amazing people and attractive landscape encompassing mountains and seaport, the city is best known for one of the most renowned research based universities in the country, POSTECH. More recently, in an effort to build a prominent research institute focused on immune homeostasis and microbial pathogenesis, the newly formed Institute for Basic Science (IBS) has initiated a collaborative effort with POSTECH to form the Academy of Immunology and Microbiology (AIM). Our laboratory is a part of AIM and physically located on the fourth floor of the POSTECH Biotechnology Center. Our research focuses on the biology of Regulatory T-cells.
