Key to Subgroups
HACC. Other Albaquults that have 50 percent or more chroma of 3 or more in one or more horizons between either the A or Ap horizon or a depth of 25 cm from the mineral soil surface, whichever is deeper, and a depth of 75 cm. Aeric Albaquults
Description of Subgroups
HACC. Aeric Albaquults.—Chroma in these soils is 3 or more in more than 50 percent of some horizon between the bottom of the A or Ap horizon and a depth of 75 cm. The period of saturation with water in these soils is shorter than the one characteristic of Typic Albaquults. Aeric Albaquults are of very small extent in the United States and occur mostly in California. They generally are either cultivated or used as pasture.
