Description of Subgroups 

ACBD. Ruptic-Histic Aquorthels.—These are the Aquorthels that have an organic layer at the surface that is either discontinuous or thins and thickens because of periglacial microrelief. These soils are common in Alaska, Canada, and Siberia.
