Instant packet oatmeal isn’t the greatest. To make it quick cooking and microwave friendly, a lot of the packets contain artificial flavors and sweeteners. Steel cut oats are a must here. The pellet shaped grains maintain a chewy texture even after being slow cooked overnight. Just wake up, and eat.
- Combine all ingredients (except for the apricots) in a slow cooker. Cook on low for 6 hours. Add the apricots, stir well and serve.
