Dianne learned to weave when her art teacher, Virginia Newhall, set up a floor loom in the back of her fifth grade classroom. Since then, she has been exploring the fascinating transformation of threads into complex woven patterns.
Dianne's weaving ranges from decorative to wearable fabrics. Luxurious scarves woven with bamboo, silk, chenille and tencel yarns, in various combinations, are the mainstay of her weaving. Every inch of fabric is touched by hand as each thread is warped, woven, washed and finished on its journey to becoming a glorious creation.
Attention to detail, depth of color and function considerations, combine to create unique and decorative textiles to be worn and enjoyed for years to come.
