Team Member Positions
Crew - Learn and master the stations plus other responsibilities:
Stations: Sprinkle, Cashier, Wrap, Grill, Slice
Build rapport with team mates
Regularly engage with customers, "banter"
Keep line stocked
Responsible for cleaning duties and following safety protocols
Prep Lettuce, Tomatoes, Onions, Cookies, etc.
Follow Jersey Mike's policies, including uniform and grooming requirements.
Requires: Food Handlers Certificate, Pass Menu Test
Shift Lead - Responsibilities of a crew member plus:
Run shifts efficiently
Oversee crew to ensure safety, speed, and proper procedures being followed
Make perfect bread
Lead by example, proper procedures, speed of service, strong customer engagement.
Good communication skills with management, crew and customers
Efficiently perform all open and closing responsibilities within acceptable timeframe
Follow all safety protocols
Enforce Jersey Mike’s policy with crew
Dependable and consistently strong performer
Demonstrate appreciation of profit & loss, through crew time and food cost management
Requires: Manager's Food Safety Certificate, Jersey Mike's Phase 1 Certification
Assistant Manager - Responsibilities of a Shift Lead plus assist the GM with one or more of the following at a time:
Create schedules that balance great customer service, profitability and crew availability
Food & Paper orders: ensure store does not run out but also does not over order
Train new employees and develope current. Reinforce proper technique with existing employees. Always working to improve overall speed of service at each position
Inventory Management, performing weekly inventory and reconciling
Identifying and resolving food cost issues
Store Maintenance: Oversee cleaning and maintenance program for store.
Customer Relations: Build relationships, be memorable, positively impact customer's day. Ability to identify and resolve most customer situations without escalation. Make situations better, not worse
Marketing. Participate in the business of a day program, identify catering opportunities.
Requires: Manager's Food Safety Certificate.
Weekly Hours: 35-45.
Catering Manager - Responsible for the oversight and execution of the catering process to support and drive the growth of Jersey Mike's Catering initiatives. Our Catering Manager knows our menu thoroughly and provides detailed attention to ensure our delicious sandwiches are delivered timely and accurately.
Marketing Experience: making sales calls both in and outside of store; demonstrate exceptional customer service skills; lead activities that increase community brand awareness
Catering Coordinator: ability to secure, plan and flawlessly execute large catering orders
Supervisory Skills: oversee and mentor employees, ability to lead an in-store team in the preparation and delivery of meals for customers.
Leader: emulate the behavior we expect in our team members; high-energy, upbeat, proactive, always maintain sense of urgency, advocate for learning and following Jersey Mike's processes
Requires: Manager's Food Safety Certificate, Flexible Schedule, Catering Experience, Marketing Experience, Restaurant Supervisory Experience
