Welcome! I am an associate professor at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem's International Relations Department. I study the social foundations of conflict, from intergroup violence and hostility to nonviolent resistance. I am particularly interested in how group identity shapes the dynamics of conflict in divided societies. Together with Roni Porat, I direct the Inequality and Social Change Lab at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Beginning in the summer of 2026, I will be PI of the ERC-funded project POLRES - how Polarization Shapes Trajectories of Nonviolent Resistance.
