A Trailer Parking Application must be approved by the Devonshire Board of Directors prior to the parking of a boat, boat trailer, camper, automobile trailer, or open/closed sided utility trailer anywhere in the subdivision, unless such trailer is stored in your garage with the door closed. Garage storage does not require approval. Other types of trailers are not allowed as per the Devonshire CC&Rs.

If and when your trailer parking application is approved, if you would subsequently like to park your specified trailer in a location other than what was approved or for a time period other than what was approved, the submission and approval of an additional trailer parking application will be necessary prior to parking your trailer in an alternate location or for an alternate length of time. Any trailer parking done so in a location or for a time period not covered by an approved Trailer Parking Application is a violation of the Devonshire CC&Rs.
To aid you in the submission of your application, please be advised that trailer locations will be considered by the approval committee so long as they do not significantly block the flow of traffic and are not within the NCDOT right-of-way. Such locations have the potential to restrict emergency vehicle access to the subdivision as well as block sight distances for travelers on our roads. In addition to considerations from the HOA, right-of-way parking is regulated by state law.
Please also be advised that if the requested parking location is visible from the street or from other lots in the subdivision, the approval committee may request feedback from your neighbors regarding your application. Positive/negative feedback will not directly correlate to approval/rejection of an application, but it will be one of many factors considered during the review and ultimate disposition of your trailer parking request. If you would like to include any feedback from your neighbors along with your application submission, feel free to do so. If not attached to the application, the approval committee may contact your neighbors during the application review process.
