Biao (Ben) Pan

I was born in the Fujian Province of China. Although I was raised in a Christian family, I had always thought that religious beliefs were just superstition. It was not until 2002, when I was a college student, that I repented and believed in the Lord. In 2005, after graduating from college, I was called by the Lord to join full time service on campus. I married my wife Eunice We in 2007, and we now have 2 lovely daughters, Iscah Pan and Monicah Pan. I graduated from LOGOS Evangelical Seminary near Los Angeles in 2016. Our vision is for my household and me to serve the LORD together as a family, bringing people to the Lord, and equipping them to become good soldiers of Christ Jesus.

DCAC Children Ministry Director – Chin-Yun Chang

Chin-Yun Chang was born in Taipei, Taiwan and taught Chinese in high school for 9 years. In 1983, she came to the States with her husband when he came to study at U of M in Ann Arbor. In 1988, Chin-Yun repented, accepted Jesus as her Personal Savior and was baptized.

Before being baptized, Chin-Yun’s heart had been touched by God through brothers and sisters who served in Children’s Ministry. As a result of this, she decided to attend church, and she realized that because of Children’s Ministry she was given the opportunity to hear the Gospel and begin her personal walk with Jesus.

After being baptized, deeply moved by the grace of God, Chin-Yun started to serve in Children’s Ministry through the years to now.

Chin-Yun trained and served in Bible Study Fellowship International for 5 years, and has served in various capacities, since 1988 up to her present day position as Children’s Ministry Director in the DCAC.

Chin-Yun and Fu Long married in 1988, have 2 sons and a daughter.

Nathan Cole (High School Ministry Director/高中生事工主任)

Nathan Cole is a thinker, writer, speaker, and activist. He has participated in various humanitarian initiatives, both domestically and overseas, and he desires to make a significant contribution to the world around him. His missions work has taken him to Mexico, Ghana, Zimbabwe, the Dominican Republic, and (hopefully very soon) Nicaragua.

Nathan is a minister at Embassy Covenant Church International, located in Troy, Michigan, under the leadership of Bishop Hugh Daniel Smith and his wife, Pastor Letha Smith. Nathan currently serves the church as the leader of the Human Dignity Department, which exists to promote the basic dignity of humanity by engaging in humanitarian outreach and addressing societal issues around the world.

In addition to his ministry work, Nathan is the Freedom Coalition Coordinator for the Michigan Abolitionist Project (MAP), an anti-human trafficking organization. He actively brings together experienced advocates in southeast Michigan to address issues related to human trafficking, and he is particularly focused on efforts designed to reduce the demand for commercial sexual exploitation.

He is also the author of two books: Exiting the Maze, which chronicles his own theological and psychological journey from the torments of obsessive-compulsive disorder to faith and freedom in Christ Jesus, and Cycle Breakers, which inspires readers to interrupt the status quo, break destructive cyclical patterns, and live with unprecedented purpose.

Nathan received his Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy from the University of Michigan in 2011, with a particular emphasis on international development and human rights. He minored in Afroamerican and African Studies. He currently lives in Troy, Michigan.
