Pickled Red Onions

2 red onions finely sliced
2 cups lukewarm water
1 tsp salt
4 tsp white vinegar
1 tsp sugar

Combine the salt, white vinegar and sugar with the lukewarm water and let the mixture sit for a few minutes while you slice the onions.  Add the onions and covert to a covered dish.
Leave the mixture for about at hour at room temperature.  When you are ready to serve, remove from water and place in the fridge for a bit.
