Original Gates Homestead

Lady in the black dress with her hair pulled back in a bun and seated in a chair is MARTHA JANE SWANEY (1851-1914) who married MELCHI DERRY (1844-1912). Melchi was Bazil's (1843-1917) brother and also another son of Jacob-1816 and Nancy.
