I've been doing some research trying to rebuild my family tree with some sources and other documentation.
This is what I have come up with on the Derry Family and believe me some of these census takers failed penmanship and spelling terribly. I finally got a list of the family when I found the Derrys in the 1900 census under Deary."

Mary Emmaline Derry
Mary Emmaline Derry, oldest daughter of John and Celia Derry, died September 6, 1933, age 59 years, 4 months, and 22 days. She was married to Geo. E. Bottens December 5, 1893. To this union was born eight children, two dying in infancy and Amos dying in 1918. She leaves her husband, three daughters; Edith of Burnside, Ill., Gladys and Eva at home; two sons, Floyd of St. Louis and Everett of Doniphan, three step-children, John E. of Beardstown, Ill., Eva McVey of Burlington, Iowa, Ruby Head of Keokuk; one brother, Westley Derry of Peoria, Ill, and two sisters, Stella Hess of Webb City, and Sarah Moore of Kirksville. She was saved in 1894 at Adrain, Ill. And lived a true and faithful life until the end.

George Edward Bottens
George Edward Bottens, oldest son of John and Ellen Bottens, was born Aug.10, 1864 in Hancock, Illinois. He passed away at Farmington,Mo., September 14, 1938. He was married to Susannah Stevenson, March 15, 1885. To this union five children were born, John of Beardstown, Ill., Iva McVey of Burlington, Iowa, Ruby Head of Keokuk, Iowa, David and Martha Jane having preceded him in death. His wife passed away March 14, 1893. He was married to Mary E. Derry, Dec. 5, 1893. To this union were born eight children. Of this number three preceded him in death. He leaves Floyd of St. Louis, Edith Dobson of Burnside, Ill., Everett, Gladys, and Eva of Doniphan. His wife preceded him in death Sept. 6, 1933. He also leaves one sister, four brothers, 22 grandchildren and great grand children.
