May 23-28 2011 “The Education of the Filipino Youth is everybody’s Concern”. The government is tasked to provide free and quality education to every Filipino child and youth, the community where they grow is an important stakeholders in their education. On the other hand private sector is also tapped to collaborate to ensure that Filipino children and youth go to school, remain in school and learn in school.
As the department endeavors to solve the many challenges facing Philippine education, Brigada Eskwela will serve as one of its front line initiatives reminding each and every Filipino that we are all stakeholders in education.The Brigada Eskwela is a schools maintenance program nationwide that engages all education stakeholders to contribute their time, effort and resources in ensuring that all public schools are all set in time for class opening. It is a weekly event where local communities, parents, alumni, civic groups, local business, NGO’s, private individuals and even teachers and students volunteer their time, skills to do minor repairs and maintenance works in the public schools. The Department of Education - Caraga Regional Office, with the support of the City Governent of Butuan, is making all the necessary preparations to make this event a success. The conference is expected to boost the city's potential as a convention site and fortify its capability to host a big event like this.
BUTUAN CENTRAL MULTIMEDIA ROOM
During the re-installation of E-LEARNING CLASSMATES - PC at the BUTUAN CENTRAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, BUTUAN CITY- the only Pilot School of E- LEARNING CLASSMATES -PC of CARAGA REGION. The people behind of the re-installation namely:JOSHUA ALBIA, JESSICA ARONG,BRIAN DE DIOS are all senior IT students of Caraga State University who are having their On-the-job Training at DepEd Butuan City Division under the supervision of MR.DONALD D.ORBILLOS, Division ICT Coordinator of DepEd Butuan City with the BCES staff namely: MS.LORNA C. CONDE(Principal- II), MR.RESTITUTO C. NAVARRO(Principal- I), MS.MARIE JOY M. INTONG(Head Teacher - II), and EDALYN B. SUMAYO(Multimedia In-Charge).
