Eastman Dental Dispensary
This is a close-up shot of a section of the old abandoned Eastman Dental Dispensary building. The Eastman Dental Dispensary was opened in 1917 with funds donated by George Eastman of Eastman Kodak Co. It was the first school in the U.S. to license dental hygienists. The original brick Italian Renaissance style building was vacated in 1978 when the renamed Eastman Dental Center moved to new buildings adjacent to the University of Rochester Medical Center. The old dispensary building is located on East Main Street near the Armory in Rochester,NY.
