Digital Video

Digital File to DVD:

Digital video file sources such as flash cards, flash drives, HDD camcorders and external hard drives can be transferred to DVDs.  If the digital video is in Standard Definition MPEG2 format, the price is $10.00 per DVD.  If the digital video is not in SD MPEG2 format, the price is $30.00 per hour of computer time.

The reason for the higher price is SD MPEG2 digital video can be transferred much quicker then any other digital video format and takes much less computer time. If the video files need to be in a certain order on the DVD, please write a note explaining the desired order and bring it in with you.

HDD Camcorders to DVD:
By default, we will transfer the same quality that is on camcorder to DVD.  So if the quality is recorded at XP on the camcorder, which would fit 1 hour per $10.00 DVD.  If the video was recorded at SP, there would be 2 hours per $10.00 DVD.

Most HDD camcorders record in SD MPEG2 format but if its a different format, the total price would be $30.00 per hour of computer time instead of pricing by number of DVDs.   If you would like to change the quality to fit more on each DVD, the total price would be $30.00 per hour of computer time.  By default, I will put the video on the DVD(s) in the order they were recorded and each time you record will be its own program and icon on the DVD menu.

Digital File Creation:
If you would like to take a tape, film or HDD Camcorder and make digital files from them, the price is $30.00 per hour of computer time.  Then I would transfer the files to your flash card, flash drive or external hard drive. If you would like me to supply the flash media, it would be an additional $20.00 per 16GB drive or card. Each drive or card will hold about 7 hours of video.  I could also upload your files to Youtube, this would take additional computer time.
