The deMon Developers is an international group of researches dedicated to the development of the software package deMon (density of Montreal) that includes a number of quantum chemistry programs. The software emerged in the 1990’s within the research group of the Prof.  (Dr.) Dennis R. Salahub in the University of Montreal. Later, the development of the package has been done by different groups around the world. In particular, a substantial  contribution to the development of the deMon package comes from Mexico involving several institutions, mainly CINVESTAV (Mexico City) and recently from the group of the University of Guadalajara. Each year since 2000, the deMon Developers meet to communicate the recent improvements in the capabilities of the code, to discuss and to coordinate the implementation of new methodologies as well as to show the applications done with the deMon family of programs. The meetings have been held in different locations around the world. The last Workshops were celebrated in Los Cabos, México 2014; Sofía, Bulgaria 2015; ZhengZhou, China 2016 and Calgary, Canadá 2017. For this year, 2018, the deMon Developers Workshop will be held, from June 5 to June 10, in the city of Guadalajara, Mexico, within the facilities of the Centro Universitario de Ciencias Exactas e Ingenierías (CUCEI campus) of the University of Guadalajara.
