Delphine Leroux Fraysse - Remote Sensing Hydrology

Being fascinated by the space domain for a long time, and more and more concerned by the Earth environmental issues, my research interests focus on hydrology using space observations.
I have been working on the development of methodologies to estimate soil water content from satellite observations in the microwave frequency range. More precisely, I have been working on retrieving soil moisture for the SMOS (Soil Moisture and Ocean Salinity) and SMAP (Soil Moisture Active Passive) missions using both passive and active observations.
I am now using these observations to improve our understanding of the water cycle (and carbon cycle in the near future) through hydrological models and data assimilation methods.
