The DeFuniak Springs Woman's Club is the oldest civic organization in this historic town in the Florida panhandle.  It was established in 1915.  The purpose is to help the town and residents with a special focus on the needs of women and children.  We meet the third Wednesday of the month at 2 pm in the clubhouse on 6th Street with a recess in June July and August.  Current projects are Fashions to Share, a shop which sells gently used good quality ladies clothing at reduced prices.  We organize the yearly Christmas Parade and Halloween Trick or Treating Around the Lake.  We support the Backpack Buddies program at a local elementary school which provides food for children over week-ends and holidays.  We are also a sponsor for the Children's Advocacy of the Emerald Coast for abused children.  We are always looking for new members, come visit us at a meeting or at the shop which is open Fridays from 10 am to 6 pm.  You can e-mail us at dfswomansclub@gmail.com.  "Like" us on Facebook.
