In 1985 when the home was owned by Ramon & Linda Quinonez a article in "The Pipeline" August 1985 magizne published by the Alamance
County Arts Council had information on plans for the home to be a country retreat, gourmet restaurant with a old plantation and southern hospitality
atmosphere. The story mentions restoring work to be done and a great way for vistors to learn more about the plantation past, former owners and
encouragement of local artists by displaying their artwork. At the time the Quinonez's plans for opening the restaurant and use of the plantation was
for private parties, weddings and receptions, catered meals or light refreshments. The Roney family members and former owners families members
and friends were all invited to view the home with refreshments served and hosted by Mr. & Mrs. Quinonez, who we all that had attended, enjoy and
was most thankful for the occasion for most of Us, the first time to see the home and learn more about it and former owners who lived there. The
Quinonez's were two of the nicest people to meet and Linda being some kin I belive also, we are sorry that some hardship had happen and their plans
were not to be, but for myself and all of our family (The Roney's and Kin) I wish to Thank them both for allowing us the occasion to be guest at their
home (our Great-Grand-fathers) home, "Deep Creek Plantation".
